There's a simple idea echoing through the ages: that you've come here for a reason. And that there and then when you stood at the roots of the world tree, and one of its leaves fell into your palm, in a flash of insight, you knew this life's purpose. And most importantly, at that moment: you committed to it.
But now, somehow you have forgotten. No surprise there. Incarnating in this human form is tough business. And it comes with a predicament: you forget. Soon familial upbringing drives your knowing ever deeper into the unconscious mind. And cultural conditioning, as helpful as it is, can ride you down strange roads devoid of meaning and purpose, while career-driven academics flood you with deadening ideas about the realities of life and power-mongering politicians do their best to emotional polarize you to the core. If you are lucky you fit the mould. If you are even luckier you have figured out a while ago that you never did.
But now some strange fate has brought you here. Somehow you find yourself reading these words. He must be crazy, you think. I must be crazy to even read this! - Look again. Look hard! Might it be that after all these years and everyone's efforts you still can't quite shake that lingering notion that there might be a thread to follow? Some long forgotten commitment to honour? A larger life to live? Or as our ancestors would have worded it: a destiny to embrace?
To most of us remembering doesn't come easy. And I would be lying if I told you that I can do much more than help you kick-start that elusive process of remembering: by affirming your faith that it can be done, by pointing out that well-earned cage that keeps you, by giving you some pointers and hopefully a faint sense of direction. Maybe I also need to help you get unstuck first. Who knows? Fate, a.k.a. destiny, is a living-breathing being. Waiting to be embraced. Waiting to be known. Willing to provide you with what you need. Not with what you want! But than again: why wouldn't you want what you need?
Urdcraft is the sum total of the crafts I have acquired in the process of ever more deeply embracing my own fate. Urd, as you might now not be surprised to learn, is the old Scandinavian word for fate.

What I offer you today is a synthesis of my experience and learning as a PhD in Physics, an expert for science and innovation funding in a public agency, an EU project manager, a MSc in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, a Scholar of Buddhism and a Shaman Apprentice to the Spirits.
Speaking in the words of analytical psychology you could say that my work constellates around the archetypes of the king, the magician, the mediator, the grail seeker, the green man and the wounded healer.

No, it is the result of years of personal unfolding. It arises from encountering obstacles, contradictions and crises and has been experienced deep within.
