A mytho-poetic biography

A completely normal human journey

Mine is a journey,

from competition to cooperation,

from evasion to negotiation,

from judgment to appreciation,

from a controlling to a witnessing consciousness,

from abstracted understanding to direct experience,

from matter to spirit,

from the outer to the inner,

from angry to puzzled,

from crazy to sane,

from objective to subjective,

from rational to imaginal,

from physics to shamanism.

And always the pendulum swings back again.

It seems that growth unfolds in oscillation

between polarities it must ultimately come to fuse

as it forges the steel of soul.

It is this knowing that informs all of my work

as I find myself back in a territory where

the sacred and the profane

the spiritual and the political

must come to meet:

in the human soul.
